Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) are the infrastructure backbone for clinical laboratory operations which mainly include the integration of biomedical analyzers. Their functionality extends beyond the simple transmission of orders and results. LIS manages the various processes of a laboratory like communication of specimen collection, storage and referring in/ out requirements, specimen identification/ directing / tracking to appropriate workstations within the laboratory and referring in/ out to laboratories.
Our LisIT works as an agent between your existing software and Auto-Analyzers. It fetches the Test Order data from your existing software’s database and transmits it to the analyzer for initiating the test process automatically. Similarly once the tests are done with, results are captured from the analyzer and saved back into the database. This bi- directional communication is accomplished by applying the barcoding solution which eliminates the headache of writing patient details on test tubes which is subject to errors and omissions. It also helps in saving time and cost and brings in great amount of accuracy. We also integrate semi auto- analyzers which facilitate uni- directional communications only.
